Our Story

Leadketty has been farming for the past 80 years under the capable stewardship of the Corrigall family.

We supply the nation’s supermarkets and we’re extremely proud to support the regional economy too. We’re furnishing the shelves of more and more local shops with our mouthwatering strawberries and jams. You can come and visit us at Leadketty Farm to buy direct from us.

Harold Corrigall and son Stephen manage 16 hectares of strawberries, employing over 100 people every year for the picking season during the long summer months. As we’re situated in the beautiful Ochil Hill many who work for us enjoy the Scottish Lowlands too. Our employees tell us they love working for our family-run farm almost as much as they enjoy the strawberries!

The farm has seen a change in the produce it grows over the years. We initially cultivated potatoes and now we exclusively grow strawberries. We are part of the Red Tractor UK’s largest food assurance scheme to prove to customers the quality and source of our berries and work hard to ensure future generations learn about what we do through our annual LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) school educational visits.

We’re growing raspberries too, and Mrs. Corrigall is looking forward to making some different jams. She works hard to meet the local demand for her strawberry jam – her recipe is a closely-guarded secret.

During the picking season we welcome workers from across the globe. It’s always a wonderful time of year and we make happy memories over barbecues during the warm evenings. Workers live on site and enjoy the beautiful Scottish surroundings that we have the pleasure of living with all year round.
